יוזמת "גם חיוך זה מדבק" גייסה עבור עובדי מחלקות הקורונה כ – 80 אלף שקלים בחודש ועוד אינספור תרומות מגופים פרטיים ועסקיים שעדיין מחולקים בבתי החולים ברחבי הארץ פעמיים בשבוע, תוך התמקדות בבתי החולים בפריפריה.

את היוזמה הקימו ליאת ויינינגר, דיאנה לוזון, שרון בן צבי ומירב גינדי.

ב 1.4 הן הקימו קבוצת פייסבוק והחלו רשמית ביוזמה כאשר הן מנהלות את כל המבצע מביתן הפרטי.

קבוצת פייסבוק מונה נכון להיום כמעט 2,000 איש.

היום חולקו לצוותים של בתי החולים שפורפרות 'פלקסיטול', קרם ידיים טיפולי מבית אלטמן.

יש לציין כי הצוותים הרפואיים שמחו מאד לקבל את המשחה שכן כאשר מרבים ברחיצה הידיים ומשתמשים רבות בתכשירי חיטוי על בסיס אלכוהול, נפגעת השכבה המגנה על העור בשל התייבשות ואיבוד מים מהשכבות הפנימיות שלו.

העור נעשה אדום, מכווץ, מעקצץ או שורף ומלווה בתחושת אי נוחות ואף גירוד וסדקים. במקרים קיצוניים של עור יבש מתווסף גרד עז, שעלול להסתיים אפילו בזיהום משני.
