"נצחיים" הוא מפגש מרתק בין ענקית שוברי הקופות מארוול ובין במאית האינדי זוכת האוסקר קלואי ז'או, אשר זכתה בשנה שעברה באוסקר על סרטה 'ארץ נוודים'. להשלמת התמונה מככבים בסרט שורת כוכבים מן השורה הראשונה כדוגמת אנג'לינה ג'ולי, סלמה הייק, קיט הרינגטון, ג'מה צ'אן, קומייל ננג'יאני ולורן רידלוף.

'נצחיים' מאולפני מארוול עוקב אחר קבוצת גיבורים חדשה ומסעירה אשר הגנה על כדור הארץ משחר האנושות. לאחר אירועי 'הנוקמים: סוף המשחק', טרגדיה בלתי צפויה מאלצת אותם לצאת מהצללים ולהתאחד כנגד אויביהם העתיקים ביותר של האנושות – 'הסטיות'.
