בזמן שרוב הישראלים עדיין מסתפקים בווילון לבן וחלק, ובחירה בבד צבעוני עם הדפסים נחשבת ללא פחות מנועזת, דור חדש של וילונות מגיע לארץ ומשנה את כל מה שהכרנו על עיטור חלונות.

שבבים אלקטרוניים זעירים ארוגים בתוך הבדים ומאפשרים להפוך את הווילון למיצג אורות לבחירתנו – מבדים קלילים עם אורות בעוצמות משתנות אשר 'מכניסים' כוכבים לשמים גם לפני רדת החשכה, ועד טקסטילים יוקרתיים עם נורות לד המשולבות ברקמה והופכות אותה לאנימציה.

השילוב הבלתי קונבנציונלי הזה של טכנולוגיה וטקסטיל, מבלי לפגוע באף תכונה – מהטקסטורה, עדינה ככל שתהיה, ועד התאמה לכביסה, מתאפשר כעת לראשונה. זאת אחרי תקופה ממושכת של פיתוח ייעודי: מהסיבים מוליכי החשמל שנטווים בטקסטיל, דרך הייצור של נורות ה-LED ועד תהליכי האינטגרציה.

הווילונות המוארים מהווים פתח לאינספור הזדמנויות חדשות לחלוטין בעולם עיצוב הפנים, תוך שילוב יוצא דופן של משחקי אור וצל עם התכונות הייחודיות של כל טקסטיל, ותנועתיות הבד בכל משב רוח עדין.
