בדרך לטור דה פראנס ולטוקיו צפו באלופי ישראל

לקראת הטור דה –פראנס ואולימפיאדת טוקיו: גיא שגיב ועומר שפירא ברכיבה על אופני כביש הגיעו השבוע למכון סילבן אדמס לספורט באוניברסיטת תל אביב למבדקי יכולת ומאמץ.

השניים ביצעו בדיקה אנטרופומטרית, תפקודי נשימה, מבחני הערכה תנועתית, אנאליזה של הפעילות השרירית ובדיקה פיזיולוגית שבמסגרתה בוצע מעקב אחר מדדים שונים כגון רמת הלקטט, ספים נשימתיים, מטבוליזם של שומן בגוף וצריכת החמצן במאמץ.

עומר שפירא, נחשבת בעיני רבים למועמדת מובילה לייצג את ישראל במשחקים האולימפיים בטוקיו 2021 וגיא שגיב, שרוכב גם בקבוצת Israel Start-Up Nation  שואף להתחרות בטור דה פרנס.

מכון סילבן אדמס לספורט עוסק במחקר ובבדיקות של ספורטאי הישג וספורטאים אולימפיים ופאראלימפיים, במטרה לשפר את ביצועיהם ובכך להגדיל את הישגיה של מדינת ישראל במשחקים האולימפיים והפאראלימפיים.
